Allbirds to launch on-demand delivery via Uber
The app’s first and only footwear brand partner, Allbirds joins Uber Eats as a founding member of the Climate Collection
SAN FRANCISCO, October 8, 2024 – Allbirds will soon be available on Uber Eats, offering on-demand delivery in locations near a selection of its U.S. stores. Some of Allbirds’s most-popular products will be available to browse and buy in-app, providing customers with a rapid delivery option and enhancing the brand's distribution channel mix.
The news was first announced by Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi on-stage at Uber’s premiere annual climate event, Go-Get Zero, where Allbirds was unveiled as an inaugural partner of the Climate Collection–a curated selection of climate-conscious consumer brands available in-app.
Allbirds will begin with deliveries from four of their key stores–San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and their New York flagship–with potential to expand across their fleet.
“Providing an engaging and effortless shopping experience is a top priority for us. We’re excited about the opportunity to not only serve our existing customers but also connect with new ones by offering added convenience through Uber Eats,” said Joe Vernachio, CEO of Allbirds. “We’re proud to be part of the Climate Collection on Uber Eats, making it easier for people to discover and purchase sustainable products from brands like ours.”
"At Uber, we're aiming to make sustainable choices easier in everyday life," said Pierre-Dimitri Gore-Coty, SVP of Delivery at Uber. "That's why we're excited to welcome Allbirds, with their comfortable, sustainable shoes, to our growing Climate Collection."
